Not a good start to the year. The new Otago University PSYC432 course ‘Safety Science and Application’ was omitted from the list of available options for students when they logged on to the University eVision system to enrol in their papers for 2019. Ironically, given the subject matter of the paper, this unfortunate outcome seems to have come about through a failure in the system somewhere along the line to ‘flag’ the paper as available. Sunk by apparent ‘human error’ before the course even managed to get going. Even the Titanic managed to leave port!
